k.ps. is managed locally by alfred omenya, principal of ecobuld africa – he’s helped on-the-ground by fred + opil, two 4th year architecture students. members from two youth groups are running the daily operations (steve, oyamo, nick, ibra, + george), and they are supported by their members, ~ 60 men + women in their 20s (click on the image to see individual roles). the community has also appointed a steering committee to represent their involvement in the project. jen + chelina from the kounkuey design initiative (landscape architect + urban planner) are coordinating the project from both the u.s. and kenya. this core team is supported by a few key civil society organizations (see member list to the right).
