Tales From the Field: Night in Kibera

Last week was the week that we hardly slept. The opening of site 2 took over our energy. But it seems on the site in Kibera spending the last night as in the university before the review can make big change.. Walls were built up, the playground almost finished, the kiosk painted just in one night :). This week things are slower, our group also got smaller. So small things where implemented such as drying lines at the water area was improved at site 1, all small details are going to be finished at site 2. We are still fighting with the processes of implementing the security lights and the new water pipe connection for site 1. This week we also started to work on our new site four and had a community meeting to better understand their needs and wishes.
