After determining everything and also making an agreement with the New Nairobi Dam Community group the Kenya Bamboo Center team and COOPI representative arrived with some seedlings ready to do practical sessions with the groups the group, about what they meant when they came for the projects. There was a combination of manual work which involved making holes for the bamboo plants, planting and watering care and maintenance. In addition the team also conducted a training on different modes of bamboo treatment. To stop them from the attack of termites and any other kind of pest, also showcasing some of the different kind of products made from the plant, and the process of achieving the good texture on the products. Now the test was left to the group to take good care of the plants and come up with a plan of starting a bamboo workshop in Kibera, before being equipped with more skills.
